Baby Bear is Mesa Arizona’s first Montessori style indoor play area. Our space is carefully designed to be a safe and engaging spot for children under the age of 6 to explore, experiment, build, and imagine. We aim to improve concentration, fine and gross motor skills, problem solving abilities, and practical life skills for the little ones in our community. We are sensory friendly and low-stimulation for the children (and parents!) who are too often overwhelmed.
Pricing
Non-crawling infants gain free entry with a sibling, up to two adults may enter for free with their child. There is a 15% discount given to WIC/EBT card holders and teachers with a valid ID. We also offer special pricing for homeschool or preschool class field trips, as well as ABA Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy. Please reach out for more information!

Yes, caregivers will stay with their children 100% of the time. Adults are responsible for the safety of their children and must ensure they are treating others as well as the space with respect. Currently, we do not offer any day care/babysitting options.

Sadly, no. This space is intentionally designed to be a safe zone for smaller children. In order to keep the integrity of their play we can not accommodate older kids at this time. We reserve the right to adjust on a case by case basis as we see fit.

We do not have a private nursing room, however you do not need to leave the play space to feed your child. We are 100% nursing friendly! We have plenty of seating as well as a fridge for milk storage. We want you to be comfortable.

Not at all! We take visitors on a first come, first serve basis. Call ahead to find out if there is space available for a large group.

We clean daily, and sanitize/disinfect our high touch areas (surfaces, baby corner, ball pit, kitchen) daily. We also have a basket for adults to place toys that need immediate cleaning so we can sterilize and return it.

We do have picnic tables for eating at the front, but eating is not allowed in play areas or near the equipment. Drinks in containers with lids are fine!

Yes, please plan on having walking children wear grip socks. If you forget to bring socks, we do sell them at the front. Adults are free to wear shoes.
Meet the Owners
We are Josh and Abby Davis, parents to two little balls of energy and owners of Baby Bear. Shortly after our marriage in 2017 we started discussing big plans for the future. Abby has been an elementary school teacher for over 10 years with experience in special education and educational leadership. Josh is an experienced home builder, carpenter, and stone mason who has a passion for fixing and making things. After our oldest son was born in 2020, Abby left teaching and we poured our attention into raising strong and kind children. Baby Bear is for them, and for the community we love and want to serve. It has been an idea in the making for years, and we are so excited to finally make our vision a reality. We hope you love it as much as we do! -J&A
